Due to COVID-19, at church Sunday services and meetings have moved online until further notice.
HOLY TUESDAY
Holy Tuesday is the third day of Holy Week, after Palm Sunday and Holy Monday. It is the third day that Jesus was in Jerusalem, and a common interpretation of the Bible shows Jesus being challenged by Pharisees and Sadducees over various subjects such as his authority, marriage, and taxes. It's also the day when Jesus taught at the Mount of Olives, speaking about the "end times".

MATTHEW 13:44-46
“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.
“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls.  When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.

THY KINGDOM COME - PASTOR YUN CHOI
As we look at Jesus’ ministry here on earth we see that He always preached that there are two kingdoms that us humans will be living for and those two kingdoms are either the kingdom of God or the kingdom of earth. Both kingdoms are ones that we are all pretty familiar with. The kingdom of God is the kingdom where there’s no sin, no junk, no regret or guilt or worry…everything that happens in the kingdom of God is one that brings delight to Him. The kingdom of earth on the other hand may be one that we are more familiar with where it’s the kingdom that is pretty messed up. More sin, more depravity, more selfishness, people living for their own glory and satisfaction, etc…It was Jesus’ heart and His plan to bring this Kingdom of God down to the kingdom of earth and we see it when He taught us how to pray it in the Lord’s Prayer when He said, “Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.” If we really want to know what a life in the Kingdom of God is like, all we have to do is to look at the life of Jesus because He was living that life on this earth. And His Gospel that we know of as the Good News is our saving grace and our hope that is able to get us from the kingdom of earth to the kingdom of God every minute of our lives.

In Matthew 13:44-46, Jesus teaches us that finding the Kingdom of God/Gospel is like finding something of incredible value (treasure, pearl) that we’d gladly leave everything else behind to get it. Jesus is telling this parable to His disciples to help them to understand that the Kingdom of God/Gospel really is the most important thing in this world.

“The point of this parable is that the kingdom of heaven/Gospel, the glad recognition of God’s rule over heart and life including salvation for the present and for the future for soul and ultimately also for the body, the great privilege of thereby being made a blessing to others for the glory of God, all this is a treasure so inestimably precious that one who obtains it is willing to surrender for it whatever could interfere with having it. It is the supreme treasure because IT FULLY SATISFIES THE NEEDS OF THE HEART. This is the one needful thing. This is the one thing that satisfies, the one thing that we need, and nothing else matches up to it.” - William Hendrikson
