PAUSING
Find a quiet place where you can be alone. Take a few seconds or minutes to pause and be still; to breathe deeply, and to re-center any scattered thoughts or desires onto the presence of God.
PRAYING
Lord, let the knowledge of your love fuel my commitment, inform my passions, stir my gratitude, and help me transform the world - for You and Your Glory, Amen.
ENCOUNTERING HIS WORD
Today, there is no Bible verse or devotional written out for you. Last Sunday, Pastor John talked about the difference between going to the Word of God yourself vs. going to the Word of God (through) proxy. Up until now, we have read the same devotionals, passages, and prayers that have been written down by someone else. While there is nothing wrong with using a devotional, hearing a sermon, or praying through someone else's leading, there is a much greater joy and encounter that can be had when we go to God ourselves, humble and hungry to hear from Him through our own movements.
The sermon series we just completed, "How to Read your Bible", has reminded us that:
REFLECTING AND PRAYING
What does God want me to see about who He is (in the text you read)? How is God pointing me to Jesus work on the cross?
"Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." - Psalm 119:105

- God wants to be found.
- The Bible points to Jesus finished work on the cross and empty grave!
- The Bible is God revealed. It's His very Word and it has the power to transform you.
- The Word of God wants to expose every intent of your heart. Nothing is hidden from Him, but when you read the Bible, you will discover that God isn't trying to condemn you, but heal you and move you towards life!

- Pray as the Lord leads - and if you are willing and able - share them in the #prayer slack channel. We'd love to hear how God is moving through these prayers!
